Bet of the Day – Wednesday, 16th of August 2023

Wednesday, 16th of August

There’s no Women’s World Cup match on (After this morning’s England match) until Saturday (For 3rd and 4th place) but guess what… I’ve got a match for you on the “UEFA Super Cup” that you can do if you like, then we also have a premier league match on Friday evening that we can use if we like.

Note that if you are placing your bet today before 10am or so, then you can use Tuesday’s Bet of the Day to bet on the England match that kicks off at 11am today (Wednesday).

Finally, if you are looking at this page after 7pm or so (Remember the odds change on the run up to kick off) on Wednesday and want to place a bet this evening, then what I would recommend is to either take it as an opportunity to find your own bet… Or you can wait until tomorrow where you could bet on any horse race in the morning, lunchtime or afternoon. Or wait until Thursday evening (Or on Friday in the day) to bet on the Friday English premier league game of Nottingham Forest vs Sheff Utd. Anything you decide to do that fits your schedule out of these is absolutely fine 🙂

Money Bet
Sport: Football -> UEFA Super Cup
Who’s playing: Man City vs Sevilla
Date: Wednesday, 16th August
Time: 8:00pm

Outcome: Draw

Back Bet: Bet on the Draw at the bookmaker (Bet with the bookmaker that your day # challenge says to bet with).

Lay Bet: Lay the Draw at the Bet Exchange on Man City vs Sevilla

Decimal odds at the bet exchange will be about 5.40 (Give or take a bit either way, Ie. it might be a bit higher or lower than this) and remember that the bookmaker odds will nearly always be lower than your lay odds at the bet exchange.

Note that if you feel comfortable, then there is a slim chance that you will be able to place your money bet on Man City winning, as long as the odds at the time are above the minimum odds required to qualify for your bookmaker’s offer. Ie. If you need to place your first bet at odds of 1.50 or greater and the odds at the bookmaker for Man City to win, are greater than 1.50 then you could use this instead if you like.

Free Bet
Your free bet should have arrived from yesterday’s money bet (If you did one) with a bit of luck, so you can now place that free bet and make some money! Note that if it hasn’t arrived in your account after your money bet has been “Settled” (Ie. the event taken place), then give it several hours or so before contacting the bookmakers’ live chat and asking where your free bet is. This can happen sometimes, so just be aware.

Use the Betting Calculator to determine the amount that you need to Lay to return the exact same amount. Go back to your training in the Getting Started lesson if you need to go over this again.

Note that if you feel comfortable, then you could also able to place your free bet(s) on Sevilla winning or on the draw of any matches or in fact anything that you can back at the bookmaker you are currently doing and lay at the bet exchange. We are just using events to turn our free bets into money… Just remember that the higher and tighter the back and lay odds, the higher the profits are from your free bets (But you need more money in your bet exchange account to cover that higher liability).

The bookmaker you use will depend on which day # you are currently doing. We recommend doing 1 day, per day. Ie. 1 money bet and 1 free bet maximum per day, until you are comfortable with doing more. Go back to the “Let’s go” lesson if you need to remind yourself of how this all works and see full details in the “Getting Started” lesson.
